• Ian Moses your Community Action Independent for the Kallangur electorate

I am so tired of the political party games and the way that my Kallangur patch has been treated by all forms of Government. The AJ Wyllie Bridge at Petrie, which I have been actively campaigning on in order for it to be Fast-tracked by the Federal and State Governments, has been lying idle and out of action for over a year now, while the Community has suffered in the process.

People have lost money, lost their businesses and some have lost their jobs and if something does not happen soon, they could lose their minds. I decided that the two-party machine was big on talk but very silent on action so I have put my hand up to get it done.

I have an achievable 3 point action plan for the Kallangur electorate and am asking for people's input on how we can build a better Community. This is not just about casting a vote for me, it is about us working together to make Kallangur number 1.

My 3 point action plan for the Kallangur electorate is:

    • The Fast-tracking of the AJ Wyllie Bridge at Petrie
    • Resurfacing Anzac Avenue / Gympie Road from the AJ Wyllie Bridge
    • 250 bay Car Park for Dakabin Train Station with Toilets & Wheelchair access.

What I would also like to see for the Kallangur electorate is:

    • The Petrie to Redcliffe rail link is constructed on time and on budget
    • A new bridge on the Boundary Road rail overpass
    • Animal cruelty in the electorate properly addressed
    • Proper funding for the RSPCA
    • People have a say on de-amalgamation of the Councils
    • State roads to be brought up to a decent driving standard
    • All community issues that affect people to be dealt with on an individual basis
    • State government to work closer to the local Councils
    • Bureaucracy addressed so that businesses can get on with what they do best
    • Properly funding services for mental ill health and disability
    • Community spirit to be promoted in order for a healthier community.

I am a very proud Queenslander, having lived here all my life. I was born and bred in Brisbane and I have lived in Kallangur for the past 4.5 years. I have represented various sales companies throughout Queensland for the greater part of my working life, and started my own Computer wholesale company in 1999, Qld PC's. I am the owner of the Community Action business, Left Right Out.

My passion is for small business and community and I feel the big two parties' only talk about these rather than actually connect with them.

I really look forward to further working with the Community in order to get it done!
